Return to the Liga Endesa visiting Baskonia's court

Valencia Basket men’s team returns to national competition with a tough away game against Baskonia (Sunday, December 1, 17:00h, Fernando Buesa Arena, Movistar Deportes 2) in a game for the ninth round of the Liga Endesa. The Orange squad will aim to secure another win in the ACB on a court that has historically been challenging (8 wins in 43 visits, an 18.6% win rate, their worst overall record as visitors in the Liga Endesa). Our team will face this game with a full injury list after the break for national team games. After returning to competition with a victory in Bourg-en-Bresse with four players missing, only Spanish international Xabi López-Arostegui is pushing to play in this game if he recovers sufficiently from his left knee issues. Stefan Jovic (left arm muscle tear) and Ethan Happ (right foot and adductor) will remain out for this game, as will long-term injured Nate Reuvers.

 

On a positive note, center Amida Brimah will make his debut in the Liga Endesa with the Valencia Basket jersey after a strong start in France, scoring 10 points and grabbing 4 offensive rebounds. In a game between the two teams that score the most three-pointers in the Liga Endesa, Pedro Martínez’s men will look to maintain their strong performance in offensive rebounding and ball control against a physically demanding opponent. Valencia Basket enters this ninth round in fourth place in the Liga Endesa, with a 5-2 record, and a game against Lenovo Tenerife at La Fonteta still pending.
